Rooted in community.
Rising through research.
The CHARM Scholars Program helps Xavier University of Louisiana students build the skills, connections, and confidence to thrive in public health—and take the next step toward a PhD.
What is CHARM?
The CHARM (Community Health And Research Mentorship) Scholars Program is a collaborative initiative between the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and Xavier University of Louisiana. Our mission is to empower emerging public health leaders through mentorship, community-rooted research, and academic development. CHARM supports scholars as they explore health equity, build research skills, and engage with underserved communities. Together, we are cultivating the next generation of changemakers in public health.
